GREG BESIO was appointed as chief human resources officer at Aon Corp., where he has served as a senior executive since 2007 and has led the integration with Hewitt as executive integration leader. He succeeds the retiring Jeremy Farmer.

LINDA VAN HOWE joined Aon Hewitt as a client executive and its Detroit market leader. With more than 25 years of experience, Van Howe most recently served as a principal at Buck Consultants, where she led both the Detroit and Chicago Health and Productivity practices. She has also held numerous HR leadership positions with local Detroit employers.

CHRISTOPHER M. TREANOR was named president of Preferred Concepts LLC. He previously served as president and CEO of Mercator Risk Services, the wholesale arm of this New York-based specialty brokerage.

RYAN A. BARBER was appointed as head of industry specialization within the U.S. property practice at Marsh. He comes to this newly created role after 15 years of experience in insurance, including his first seven at Marsh. He also worked at Willis as a senior property broker and, most recently, at Integro as co-leader of its U.S. property practice.

KAREN G. TOLER joined AmWINS to lead its new Morehead City, N.C., office. Coming by way of Burns & Wilcox, Toler has been in the wholesale insurance industry for nearly 25 years and has extensive experience underwriting personal lines risks, particularly H06 (condominium) policies.

NICHOLAS CALABRO joined CRC Insurance Services in its Boca Raton, Fla., office as an associate broker. He is a recent graduate of Florida State University with a degree in risk management and insurance.
