Both will adopt updated versions of current procedural terminology and current dental terminology. The rules also incorporate guidelines regarding the medical billing process and utilize new formats.

The division also proposed to amend rules to revise the process by which health care providers meet the minimum criteria for certification. The proposed amendment also introduces a free, online resource that implements an electronic certification process for health care providers. The tutorial, which ensures participation only by statutorily defined providers, supplies providers with an overview of the workers' compensation system and general administrative policies necessary for a health care provider to be certified and participate in the workers' compensation system.
