The rule specifies that a change of attending physician does not occur if the worker moves a distance of 50 miles or more from the attending physician and the worker does not get services from the attending physician after moving. A change of physician also does not occur if the employer suggests, directs, or schedules an appointment with a physician other than the attending physician. The rule also defines "month" as a four-week period, beginning on the first day of treatment. The new rule went into effect on July 9.
