ADM Appoints New CRO
Archer Daniels Midland Co. has announced the appointment of CRAIG HUSS to chief risk officer; JOE TAETS
to senior vice president and president, Agricultural Services; and DOMINGO LASTRA
to vice president, Business Growth.
All three individuals will report to ADM Chief Operating Officer Juan R. Luciano, and their appointments are effective immediately. "ADM has an unrivaled business model and an exceptionally talented team with a strong commitment to delivering results"
Huss will manage ADM's aggregate commodity risk as he defines and oversees the company's risk management strategy. He will also lead companywide productivity and cost-management efforts, and chair ADM's risk management committee, which consists of Luciano, ADM Vice Chairman John Rice, the company's business unit presidents and key merchandisers.
Since joining ADM in 1976, Huss has held various management positions in origination, merchandising and transportation. Most recently, he was president, Agricultural Services.
Taets will lead the company's Agricultural Services business unit, with responsibility for commercial activities and operations. He also joins the company's Strategic Planning Committee. Most recently, Taets was president of ADM's grain group, with responsibility for the company's domestic and export grain businesses, grain merchandising operations, destination marketing business and ocean freight and vessel operations. He joined ADM in 1988.
Lastra will pursue profitable growth as he focuses on expanding ADM's acquisition pipeline to drive earnings growth, enhancing marketing capabilities to drive value-added business growth, and managing the company's portfolio to deliver shareholder returns. He will also be involved in enhancing ADM's project evaluation and capital allocation processes. Domingo joined ADM in 1994 and was previously president, ADM South America, based in São Paulo, Brazil. He will relocate to the company's headquarters in Decatur, Ill.
WFL Adds Claims Specialist
CHRIS PRATT
of Manchester, Mo., has joined WFL as a claims specialist. Pratt has 13 years experience as an insurance claims adjuster and is licensed in multiple states. Pratt's role supports WFL's unique, proactive risk management approach and the firm's commitment to long-term client partnerships. He has a bachelors degree in Marketing from Webster University.

Broadspire Welcomes Tom Yodice as Vice President of Dedicated Accounts
Broadspire, a Crawford Co., and leading third-party administrator of workers' comp claims, liability claims and medical management services, has named TOM YODICE to the position of vice president of dedicated accounts.
Yodice will be responsible for the management of Broadspire's dedicated client services teams, as well as have management responsibility for the claim field operations teams responsible for dedicated accounts.
In addition to his operational management responsibilities, Yodice will be working closely with the Sompo Japan Insurance Co. of America and the Sompo Japanese Agency (SJA) teams to grow the companies' partnership and assist with new business opportunities.
Working from the Fairfield, N.J., service center, Yodice will report directly to Chief Operating Officer of Claims and Client Services Neil Lentine. "Tom will be a terrific addition to our management team," said Lentine. "He brings a great deal of expertise and a true understanding of our clients' needs."
Vertafore Appoints Mark Sonders to Lead Integrated Sales and Client Services Organization
Vertafore, a provider of insurance distribution channel solutions, has announced the appointment of MARK SONDERS as senior vice president of sales and client services. Reporting directly to the CEO, Sonders will lead the newly integrated agency, carrier and MGA sales and service organization with responsibility for sales, account management, marketing, professional services and client support.
Having built a successful career in sales and sales management in both the software and financial services sectors, Sonders joins Vertafore from Thomson Reuters, where he was most recently engaged in several sales and service transformation initiatives as managing director, head of direct sales, Americas.
