Harold Field Takes Leadership Role at Swett & Crawford
HAROLD FIELD has taken on the leadership and profit center responsibility of Swett & Crawford's wholesale broker's New York City office, Michael Ruhe, sales leader and division leader for Swett & Crawford, has announced.
In addition, Field will continue to serve as a broker in the Professional Services Practice Group and as a sales leader in Swett & Crawford's Morristown, N.J. office.
Field began his career at Prudential as a claims analyst and moved from there to AIG, where he served as an underwriter of financial institution risks.
He had also worked in the Los Angeles office of Zurich as a regional underwriting officer, and at Westrope as a professional services broker before coming to Swett & Crawford more than five years ago.
'Harold has exhibited all the traits of our leadership model,' said Ruhe, in a statement.
'He has brought a fresh perspective and new ideas to the table that I am sure will drive the combined New York / New Jersey offices to even greater success.'

Mike Ramseier Named President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Colorado
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Colorado has announced that MIKE RAMSEIER has been named president, effective Sept. 1. He replaces John Martie, who was appointed president of Anthem National Accounts earlier this year.
Ramseier brings deep experience and market knowledge to his new role. He currently serves as vice president, provider engagement and contracting, for Anthem's California affiliate and for Anthem's consumer business unit.
Ramseier has been with Anthem for almost 15 years and previously served as vice president of health care management for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Colorado from 2005 ? 2009.
He received his Master's of Science in health services administration from Saint Mary's College of California and his Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Golden Gate University.
ACE Announces Leadership Appointments in Its Continental European Region
ACE has announced senior appointments and organizational changes within its Continental European region.
ANDREAS WANIA was promoted from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) manager to Chief Operating Officer for ACE Germany, the company said. He will be based in ACE's Frankfurt office. PATRICIA GOUDARZI was appointed to the position of sales and distribution director for Continental Europe and IDAN SHUKLIN was named e-commerce manager, also for Continental Europe. Both Goudarzi and Shuklin will be based in the company's Paris office.
In his new role as COO, ACE Germany, Wania will have direct responsibility for all property/casualty and accident & health lines of business. He will report to Dankwart von Schultzendorff, manager for ACE's German, Swiss and Austrian operations. Wania will retain management responsibility for ACE Turkey, the company also said.
Allied World U.S. Appoints Marcel Ricciardelli Senior Vice President For Environmental
Allied World Assurance Company Holdings AG has announced that MARCEL RICCIARDELLI has joined Allied World U.S. as senior vice president, environmental. In this role, he will be responsible for production and profitability. He will continue to grow the division and the company's existing product suite in the U.S. market.

Ricciardelli has almost 20 years of experience in the industry, most recently as vice president with Philadelphia Insurance Companies. Prior to joining Philadelphia Insurance, he held senior leadership roles at XL Insurance ? Environmental and at AIG in the environmental division.
AlliedBarton Appoints Charles Pizzi to Board of Directors
AlliedBarton Security Services, a provider of security personnel, announces the appointment of CHARLES P. PIZZI to the board of directors of AlliedBarton's parent company, Allied Security Holdings LLC.
Pizzi served as president and chief executive officer of Tasty Baking Company, manufacturer of Tastykake branded snack cakes, from 2002 until its merger with Flower Foods in 2011.
Prior to leading Tasty Baking Co., Pizzi served as president and chief executive officer of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce; vice chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, and chairman of the Metro Council of Presidents.
His career also includes work with the transition teams for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge and Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell.
Pizzi has also served as commerce director for the City of Philadelphia, and is an active member of several boards of directors including Brandywine Realty Trust, The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and Independence Blue Cross.

Appoints New HSB Group CEO
GREG BARATS was been appointed CEO of HSB Group Inc. effective Sept. 6, 2011, Munich Re has announced. He succeeds Doug Elliot who resigned his position in March 2011. Since March, Anthony J. Kuczinski, chairman of the HSB Group, Inc., has served as interim president/CEO. Kuczinski is also president and CEO of Munich Reinsurance America Inc., and heads Munich Re's property and casualty operations in the U.S.
Barats joined HSB in 2002 after a career in international energy consulting and environmental management. More recently, Barats led HSB's engineering operations and fee-based businesses and chaired HSB's efforts in developing opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
"Greg is an entrepreneur, as well as an accomplished executive, who has a clear vision of how to combine Munich Re's financial strength, superior risk management expertise, and worldwide presence with HSB's identity and market leadership to foster already outstanding profitability," said Peter Röder, member of Munich Re's Board of Management responsible for business in North America.

Hannover Re
Appoints New Executive Board Member
The Supervisory Board of Hannover Re has appointed CLAUDE CHEVRE as a full member of the executive board. He will take up his duties effective Feb. 1, 2012 at the latest. His appointment coincides with the departure of Wolf Becke. Becke, who as a member of the Executive Board has played a pivotal role in the development of the life and health reinsurance group since 1991, is retiring.
Chèvre holds a degree in mathematics and is a Swiss citizen. After graduating he embarked on his professional career in 1995 at Union Reinsurance Company Life & Health in Zurich. Following the company's integration into the Swiss Re Group Mr. Chèvre bore responsibility for the Spanish market.
Working in concert with Board member Klaus Miller, Chèvre will assume responsibility for the life and health reinsurance business of the Hannover Re Group.
