Zurich appoints Lance Henderson Head of Sales

Lance Henderson has been appointed as head of sales -- Corporate Life and Pensions North America for Global Life, effective immediately, Zurich has announced.
In this management role, Henderson will be responsible for managing the Corporate Life & Pensions sales force in North America, developing and implementing both short and long term sales strategies, and spearheading marketing initiatives, while maintaining high standards of support and relationship maintenance to his sales team.
He will work out of the Zurich office in Edina, Minn., and report to Sherif Zakhary, head of Corporate Life & Pensions North America for Global Life.
Henderson formerly held the position of regional director - Americas for Allianz Group where he was responsible for managing an employee benefits network in the Americas, Middle East and Africa.
Prior to that role, he worked with American International Group as deputy director in the International Benefits Division. Henderson holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Valparaiso University and is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist and a member of the Health Insurance Association of America.

Named as CEO of Greenlight Re
Greenlight Capital Re Ltd., a specialist property/casualty reinsurance company headquartered in the Cayman Islands, has announced that Bart Hedges has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Len Goldberg, who, as previously announced, retired as CEO.
Hedges, 46, joined Greenlight Re in January 2006 as president and Chief Underwriting Officer. He has nearly 25 years of property/casualty insurance and reinsurance experience, the company said.
In addition to his promotion to CEO, Hedges has been appointed to serve on the board of directors of the company and each of its operating subsidiaries, Greenlight Reinsurance, Ltd. and Greenlight Reinsurance Ireland Ltd.
"We look forward to Greenlight Re's continued growth under Bart's leadership," said David Einhorn, chairman of the board of directors of Greenlight Re, in a statement. "Bart joined the company shortly after its formation and has played a critical role in establishing our reputation in the market; he demonstrates a clear commitment and compelling vision for the company."
Prior to joining Greenlight Re, Hedges served as president and chief operating officer of Platinum Underwriters Bermuda Ltd., where he was responsible for the initial start-up of the company and managed day-to-day operations.
Hedges, an actuary by training, also held executive positions at Scandinavian Reinsurance Company Bermuda Ltd., as president and CEO, and as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Goldberg has served as CEO and a director of Greenlight Re since August 2005 and will remain on the board, the company said.
Endurance Appoints Glenn Yanoff Head of U.S. Wholesale
Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd., a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, has announced that Glenn Yanoff has been appointed to lead Endurance's U.S. wholesale insurance operations, effective upon the retirement of John Zachry from that role Dec. 1, 2011.
Endurance's U.S. wholesale insurance operations offer property, casualty and specialty lines of business through a network of surplus lines wholesale agents, which now will include Endurance's contract binding authority unit, and which Yanoff managed since its launch last year
He has more than 30 years of industry experience in the excess and surplus lines market holding various senior underwriting and production management roles.
Zachry will continue to direct Endurance's U.S. wholesale insurance operations until Dec. 1, with Yanoff reporting to him during the transition, the company also said.
Steven Dresner, most recently named as the Head of Endurance's Specialty Operations for U.S. Insurance, will expand his role, effective immediately, to oversee property and excess casualty insurance in addition to his current responsibilities for primary insurance, professional lines and program business.
With 29 years of underwriting experience, Dresner has held senior roles in Endurance's insurance and reinsurance operations since joining in May 2003. He will report to Yanoff.
OneAmerica Financial Appoints New CFO
OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., an Indianapolis-based network of retirement, life and benefits companies, has announced that Jeff Holley has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Sept. 1.
Holley will lead the financial and actuarial functions of the OneAmerica companies, filling the position vacated earlier this year by Scott Davison who was promoted to executive vice president.
"In Jeff, we have found someone who fits our culture, understands the importance of our mutual structure and has the experience and talent to take our already strong finance organization to the next level," said Dayton Molendorp, chairman, president and CEO.
Holley served as CFO of CUNA Mutual Group from 2000 to 2009 and served as CUNA's interim CEO from 2004 to 2005. He has also been employed previously at CNA and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and served on the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Holley holds a business degree from the University of Wisconsin.
