The rules state that unless otherwise provided by contract, the insurer must pay the fee for orthotic and prosthetic services at the provider's usual rate. The rule went into effect on July 5 and expires on Dec. 31. The division will work with stakeholders to replace the temporary rules with a permanent one by Jan. 1, 2012.
