Washington: Department issues inquiry on settlement agreements
The Department of Labor and Industries issued a preproposal statement of inquiry on the implementation of claim resolution structured settlement agreements.
These agreements will be available for injured workers 55 and older effective Jan. 1, 2012; 53 and older effective Jan. 1, 2015; and 50 and older effective Jan. 1, 2016. The proposed rules will include new rules to clarify requirements and the process for these agreements. Read more at the WorkersComp Forum homepage.
