The rules also include updates to the rigging and personnel lifting requirements. The proposal also includes requirements the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has in its rule. Public hearings are scheduled for Oct. 5 in Spokane, Oct. 6 in Seattle, and Oct. 11 in Tumwater. Public comments should be submitted to Cindy Ireland at mooc235@lni.wa.gov by Oct. 14. The department intends to adopt the rules on Nov. 22.
