The rules establish maximum payments for durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies. The rules also include podiatric physicians and surgeons among those health care providers who may serve as attending physicians in the workers' compensation system. The rules describe the process for the division's director to delay the reconsideration processing and toll the reconsideration timeline for up to 45 days when both parties request the delay for settlement negotiations. The rules also describe the arbiter selection process. A public hearing is scheduled for Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. in the labor and industries building, room 260, at 350 Winter Street NE in Salem. Written comments are accepted at fred.h.bruyns@state.or.us until Oct. 27. For full text of the proposed rules, visit www.wcd.oregon.gov/policy/rules/docconv_21365/9_11XXXp.pdf.
