NY regulators seek input on proposed carpal tunnel guidelines
The guidelines are aimed at encouraging accelerated delivery of quality medical services to those workers and to reduce disputes and ineffective medical treatment, according to a memo from board Chairman Robert E. Beloten.
The proposed guidelines were developed by the New York Insurance Department's Workers' Compensation Reform Task Force and its advisory committee, which previously produced medical treatment guidelines for the neck, low and mid-back, shoulder, and knee.
The board is seeking stakeholder feedback by Dec. 1.
