TOM MCGRATH has joined Cooper Gay Re, as executive vice president. McGrath has more than 35 years of experience in reinsuring marine, aviation, energy and other specialty lines. Most recently he served as executive vice president with Towers Watson's Reinsurance Brokerage where he worked within the firm's global marine/energy and aviation practice. Prior to that affiliation he was a senior vice president and U.S. Marine and Aviation Practice Group Leader at Benfield. He spent nearly a quarter-century at Intere Intermediaries Inc. where he rose to senior executive vice president and leader of their Marine/Aviation and International Non-Marine Divisions.

Lockton has named VALERIE HOUGHTON as health risk manager for its southeast operation, based in Atlanta.As Health Risk Manager, Houghton supports clients in evaluating, recommending, implementing and measuring wellness programs that improve employee health and reduce employer costs.
"As a registered and licensed dietitian who has worked around the world, Valerie Houghton brings deep expertise and practical ideas to employers who are struggling with rising healthcare costs," said Stan Shaffer, chief operating officer of Lockton Southeast. "She will help our clients create engaging programs that help their employees get healthier while reducing health costs."
Houghton's career in health and nutrition has taken her around the world, including her most recent stint working as a nutrition consultant with the SOS International Clinic in Baku, Azerbaijan. She has also worked in health and nutrition in the United Arab Emirates and as ARAMARK Healthcare's director of patient services in London.In addition, she has several years of experience in leadership roles with ARAMARK in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Houston healthcare and school nutrition divisions.
Meanwhile, DUANE CALDWELL joined Lockton's technology-focused team today as Property Risk Control Consultant in its San Jose, Calif. Caldwell will have a lead role in expanding Lockton's presence in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the western region.
Caldwell was most recently a vice president and senior property risk consultant with Marsh. He also served as Marsh's Risk Consulting Practice Leader, providing risk analysis and strategic program recommendations to communications, media and technology companies. Caldwell also worked as corporate safety program manager for Seagate Technology.
Willis North America announced the appointment of KATE DODGE to senior vice president of the Environmental Practice and Environmental Team Leader for Willis' Midwest Region & Willis Canada.
Willis North America's Environmental Practice helps organizations identify and assess environmental exposures and delivers customized insurance and risk management solutions. A team of 24 professionals throughout North America work closely with Willis' Global Environmental Practice, which is comprised of a network of environmental specialists throughout the world, to deliver best in class client services.
Based in Chicago, Dodge will be responsible for building on Willis' industry-leading position in this segment by providing specialist environmental risk management solutions to Willis clients and environmental brokerage support to all Willis offices within the Midwest Region and Willis Canada. Prior to this appointment, Dodge served as senior vice president & Canadian environmental practice leader at Aon Corp.
