Insurance software company Applied Systems announced that IAN HOFFMAN has joined the company's executive team in the new role of chief marketing officer. Hoffman will be responsible for the direction of all branding, marketing and communications strategy at Applied Systems, the North American market leader in insurance agency and broker management software.
"Ian brings tremendous leadership and strategic marketing expertise to our executive team," said Chief Executive Officer Reid French. "His depth of knowledge in the software business and track record in successfully leading results-oriented marketing organizations will add tremendous value to Applied Systems as we continue to identify new opportunities to expand our markets, build our brand and create greater value for our customers."
Hoffman is the former senior vice president of Marketing at Intergraph Corporation, a global software company at the forefront of geospatial and computer-aided design software. Intergraph employs 4,000 people in more than 50 countries. Hoffman was responsible for Intergraph's global marketing strategy and reorganizing the company's global marketing operations.

STUART A. MINTZ has joined Crawford & Company's Asia-Pacific team in Thailand as International Executive General Adjuster for the Indochina Zone incorporating Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
Mintz has more than 30 years of management and adjusting experience. He joined Crawford in the United States during 2004 as an executive general adjuster in global technical services and has worked on large, complex losses worldwide.
Richard Martin, chief executive officer, Asia-Pacific, said, "Stuart has provided his expertise to manage claims resulting from a number of catastrophes, including earthquake losses in Christchurch, New Zealand. He also will be part of our team handling claims from the recent floods in Thailand. Stuart is a great addition to our team in the region and we are looking forward to his continued work on behalf of our clients."
