The rules allow additional days under certain circumstances for workers to select a vocational training option and for employers to develop a valid return-to-work offer. In state fund claims, if an employer attempts to make a valid return-to-work offer within 15 days of a letter notifying the worker he is eligible for vocational rehabilitation services, the department may grant up to 10 additional calendar days to modify the offer if it does not meet all of the requirements for approval. The changes will go into effect on Dec. 16.
