Delaware: Industrial accident meeting leads to changes in rules

The Industrial Accident Board and the Office of Workers' Compensation held a public meeting regarding comprehensive changes to the board's rules.

The rules provide that any party can request mediation at any time prior to 30 days after the pretrial hearing. The rules also state that an application for reimbursement from the workers' compensation fund must identify the dates of injury and the parts of the body affected. The rules outline the procedure for pretrial scheduling conferences, depositions, opening and closing statements, and evidence. The rules went into effect on Dec. 12.
