Alaska: Medical services payments get second look
The Workers' Compensation Board proposed changes to rules dealing with payments for medical fees and services and proceedings before the board.
A section would be added to the rule establishing standards and procedures for a commissioner's designee to hear and decide matters without a panel. A rule also proposed changes to establish standards and procedures for a continuance or cancellation of a proceeding. A proposed rule clarifies the procedures for employer payment of medical bills and reimbursement of prescription charges and travel expenses.
