Washington: Department modifies base rates
The Department of Labor and Industries amended the tables of classification base premium rates, experience rating plan parameters, experience modification factor calculation limitations, and retrospective rating plan size groupings for the workers' compensation insurance program for 2012.
Classification base rates were amended to base the rates on updated loss and payroll experience, resulting in no overall increase in premium rates for 2012. The rule adds language to reflect the stay-at-work program. Changes were made in the rates for the horseracing industry. The rule also repeals rules related to the expired farm internship program. The changes went into effect on Jan. 1.
