Florida: Division might redefine affiliated self-insurer
The Division of Workers' Compensation proposed a rule amending the definition of "affiliated self-insurer."
The added language will allow an affiliated self-insurer the structure backed by the financial strength of a parent company that might operate in Florida for purposes of providing a parental guaranty for affiliated self-insurers, where the parent company elects not to hold the self-insurance authorization itself.
