Hawaii: Department seeks to tweak rules
The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Occupational Safety and Health Division proposed amendments to rules regarding general industry and occupational health.
The department proposed to delete current general industry and occupational health rules with the exception of general safety and health requirements. The federal general industry and occupational health standards will be incorporated into new rules. The federal construction standards will also be incorporated into new rules. The rules include new definitions for "dwelling," "dwelling unit," "residential construction," and "townhouse." A new chapter will place all of the standards that apply to agriculture into one chapter.
