Washington: Structured settlement agreements incrementally go into effect

The Department of Labor and Industries adopted an emergency rule regarding the implementation of claim resolution structured settlement agreements.

Effective Jan. 1, the agreements are available for claims for injured workers age 55 and older. Effective Jan. 1, 2015, the agreements will be available for claims for injured workers 53 and older. Effective Jan. 1, 2016, the agreements will be available for claims for injured workers 50 and older.
