Nevada: Division taking first steps on subsequent injury account regs

The Division of Industrial Relations proposed regulations regarding the subsequent injury account for private carriers revising provisions governing the rating of permanent physical impairments.

The rules define "permanent physical impairment." Changes also provide procedures for service upon the private carrier or designated agent, and the administrator of the division. The rules also allow an injured worker or his representative to waive the advance notice requirement for medical examinations. The division scheduled a public workshop on Feb. 24. After reviewing and considering comments, the division will give notice of intent to act on the regulations and conduct public hearings to solicit comments.
