Florida: Rule addresses insurance policy for out-of-state employers
The rule applies to out-of-state employers with construction projects in Florida that have workers' compensation policies listing Florida in the incorrect section of the policy information page. The rule gives these employers up to two business days from the commencement of an investigation to endorse the policy to list Florida in the correct section of the form and use Florida-approved classification codes, rates, and estimated payroll. A stop-work order must be issued to an employer after the expiration of two business days from the commencement of an investigation.
