The Health Technology Clinical Committee adopted a final determination that conflicted with the rules. References to transcutaneous, interferential, and percutaneous nerve stimulations were removed. Rule language regarding discograms and structured intensive multidisciplinary programs also was amended. The department scheduled a hearing on April 27. Written comments should be submitted to Marie Manteuffel at marie.manteuffel@lni.wa.gov by May 4. For a copy of the proposed amendments, visit www.lni.wa.gov/rules/AO11/17/1117Proposal.pdf.

The Department of Labor and Industries proposed amendments to medical aid rules. The conversion factor used to calculate payment levels for services payable through the resource-based relative value scale fee schedule was changed. The rules also change the conversion factor used to calculate payment for anesthesia services. The rules increase the maximum daily payment for physical and occupational therapy. The department scheduled a hearing for April 24. Written comments should be emailed to thomas.davis@lni.wa.gov by May 1. For more information, visit www.lni.wa.gov/rules/AO11/24/1124CR102.pdf.
