South Carolina: Commission schedules hearing on oral argument

The Workers' Compensation Commission approved the language to a proposed regulation on oral arguments.

The regulation states that parties must sign in and be present in the designated waiting area of the commission no later than 30 minutes prior to the time for which their cases are scheduled to be argued. A party who fails to comply is subject to a $100 fine, except for good cause shown. The requirements of the regulation must be printed in bold type on the hearing notice. Written comments were accepted until April 23. A public hearing is scheduled on May 21 at 10:30 a.m. in hearing room A at 1333 Main St. in Columbia.
