The rule allows an independent medical examiner to receive up to $400 per hour up to a maximum of four hours to review records and information. In a complex case, an additional fee of up to $400 per hour for up to two hours may be allowed. An independent medical examiner may require prepayment from the employer of up to $400 prior to submitting a report on the issues submitted. The court also proposed changes to the fee schedule for medical, surgical, and hospital services. The court scheduled a public hearing on May 9.
