Workers' comp boards in Nevada, California set rates for 2013
Effective July 1, the maximum average monthly wage is $5,222.63. The maximum disability compensation is $3,481.75. If the earned wage on the date of injury is less than $5,222.63 per month, compensation is 66 2/3 percent of the actual earned wage.
In California, the Division of Workers' Compensation announced the minimum and maximum temporary total disability rates for 2013. Beginning Jan. 1, 2013, the minimum TTD rate will increase to $160 and the maximum TTD rate will increase to $1,066.72 per week. The TTD rate was increased by an amount equal to the percentage increase in the state average weekly wage for 2012. Workers with dates of injury on or after Jan. 1, 2003, who are receiving life pensions or permanent total disability benefits are also entitled to have their weekly benefit rate adjusted based on the state average weekly wage.
