The department noted that the rates of individual employers depend on their recent claims history and changes in the frequency and cost of claims in their industry. Public hearings on the proposed rates will be held in Tukwila and Bellingham on Oct. 23, Spokane on Oct. 24, Richland on Oct. 25, Tumwater on Oct. 26, and Vancouver on Oct. 29. The final rates will be adopted in December and go into effect on Jan. 1, 2013. For more information, visit www.lni.wa.gov/News/2012/120917proposedrates.asp.
