New Faces
This February, we welcome lots of new faces into the winner's circle as we celebrate the eighth edition of our Power Broker® award.
Brokers with agencies such as the Philadelphia-based Graham Co. and the Dallas-based Rekerdres & Sons grace our pages for the first time for their breakthrough wins in workers' compensation and marine brokering, respectively. We heartily congratulate these new winners while at the same time bowing to some brokers who have won this award for the seventh year running.
Turn to Page 18 and you will encounter Legal Spotlight. Managed by Senior Editor Anne Freedman, this page will feature the legal decisions that will have big impacts on the industry. We encourage law firms that service the insurance industry to contact Anne at afreedman@lrp.com with any tips on legal decisions that will make a difference. Also new to Risk & Insurance®this February is "Adjuster X." Not nearly as shady as the name might suggest, Adjuster X can be found this month on Page 20. The reason for the "X" in his name is that this fictional adjuster is relating true tales from claims adjusters with years of experience in the field, but given the sensitive nature of the claims, these tale tellers are better off remaining anonymous.
