Washington: Emergency rule focuses on medical provider network
The rule allows providers to be provisionally enrolled while the department decides on their application, but only for 60 days. The emergency rule allows providers who applied before Jan. 1 to continue to treat injured workers until their application is approved, denied, or withdrawn. The rule removes the 60-day requirement on provisional enrollment until expiration of the emergency rule or until the department takes further action to change the rule. The emergency rule went into effect on March 1.
