The working world will be a safer place thanks to the efforts of this year's Risk Innovator(tm) winners.
Creativity and excellence in execution; these are the qualities that define a Risk Innovator(tm). On the following pages are five profiles of insurance and risk management executives that through their work are increasing the safety and overall quality of our professional lives.
MedEncentives' Jeff Greene used his experience as a business owner to develop an online solution that enables doctors and patients to provide cross-checks on the health care process. Many times, in the customer/provider relationship, we operate in silos, not really communicating what each side needs to know. Greene's work helps to break down those silos.
The working world left it to Daniel Radulovic, a proposition manager for Zurich Financial Services, to devise a system that helps companies gain greater transparency into the risks of doing business internationally.
His work creating the Zurich Risk Room and its availability as a mobile app will undoubtedly give better data to business leaders for making decisions that will allow them to seek international opportunities, while at the same time providing better protection for their business assets.
You will also find a profile of Mark Meek, the safety manager for Advance Auto Parts. In addition to earning the designation of Risk Innovator?, Meek also won our Responsibility Leader® award in 2013. Sponsored by
Boston-based Liberty Mutual, this award honors Risk Innovators who went above and beyond their professional responsibilities to make an impact in the community at large.
A passion for doing the right thing above the easy thing is what defines a Responsibility Leader®. Meek's work in pushing to create a message that would make workers safer hits that target.
Congratulations to Mark and the rest of 2013 Risk Innovator(tm) winners!
