Latest NCCI loss cost filings are evenly split
Six states may see increases while another half dozen may see decreases. NCCI has filed the first 12 loss costs of the latest filing cycle.
The states where the Florida-based organization has proposed increases include:
- Virginia -- 4.1 percent.
- Colorado -- 3.7 percent.
- Arizona -- 3.2 percent.
- District of Columbia -- 2.8 percent.
- Maryland -- 1.4 percent.
- Florida -- 1 percent.
The proposed rates for D.C. and Maryland have been approved. Also approved was a proposed decrease in loss costs for West Virginia. The -8.8 percent was the lowest of the six states where reductions were filed.
Other states where NCCI filed for loss costs reductions were:
- Iowa -- -2 percent.
- Illinois -- -5.8 percent.
- New Hampshire -- -6.5 percent.
- Oregon -- -7.6 percent.
- Kentucky -- -7.9 percent.
