Proudfoot Consulting, an Atlanta-based global operational consultant, named DAN R. CARMICHAEL a senior advisor to the firm. Carmichael will help clients within Proudfoot's insurance practice improve their operating performance. He joined Ohio Casualty Corp. as president and CEO in December 2000, staying with the company through its acquisition in 2007 by Liberty Mutual.

Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm, named Ali Samad-Khan head of operational risk management consulting for its enterprise risk management practice. Samad-Khan, who founded specialist consulting company OpRisk Advisory, has more than 10 years of experience in operational risk measurement and management consulting for banks and insurance companies, as well as for nonfinancial corporations in energy, technology, transportation and other business segments.

Omega Risk Management LLC, an international insurance and risk management consulting firm, appointed Philipp J. Bischoff executive vice president. Bischoff spent 20 years at Frenkel & Co. Inc, an insurance brokerage firm where he most recently served as a senior vice president and assistant manager.
