Lexington Insurance Co. hired JOHN COGLIANO as assistant vice president of the Strategic Relationship Group, developing specific strategies to maximize AIG's private-equity and law-firm relationships. Cogliano is a former Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation and Commissioner of the Massachusetts Highway Department.
Lexington also hired Steve England as president of the Landmark Insurance Co. England, who has 14 years of experience with AIG, will be responsible for building the organization with insurance products and services in specific industry segments, the initial focus being an agricultural initiative.
Susan Doyle was appointed president and chief operating officer of Wausau Insurance, a part of the Liberty Mutual Group. Doyle replaces Mark Fiebrink, who announced his retirement in November 2007. Doyle joined Wausau as a senior vice president in 2004, and has served as Wausau's executive vice president for field operations since 2005. Prior to joining Wausau, Doyle held senior executive positions with Arch Insurance Group, Kemper Casualty Co. and Cigna/Ace.
Stephen F. Bollenbach was elected as a director of American International Group Inc. Bollenbach recently retired from Hilton Hotels Corp., where he had served as co-chairman since 2004 and CEO since 1996. Prior to joining Hilton Hotels, Bollenbach had served as chief financial officer of Walt Disney Co., Marriott Corp. and the Trump Organization.
Farmers Group Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services, appointed Scott Lindquist to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. Lindquist is the former controller of Genworth Financial, a corporation specializing in life and long-term-care insurance, retirement investments and private mortgage insurance. He succeeds Pierre Wauthier, who vacated the position last fall to become head of financial operations at Zurich.
New York-based Ironshore Inc. established an Atlanta office of IronPro, its management and professional-liability facility, to be led by new assistant vice president Scott Fitzmaurice, who previously served as regional manager for AIG Executive Liability.
