Century Healthcare, a full-service TPA and healthcare insurance organization, announced that recently appointed President JAY BECK will assume the additional role of chief executive officer. The company's founder and CEO, Derek Peterman, is leaving to pursue other entrepreneurial ventures. Beck plans to further Century Healthcare's strategy for approaching the market as the sole insurance provider offering only limited benefit plans. Beck previously served as regional vice president for Mutual of Omaha, where he led strategic efforts for the sales and field operations of the central region.

CIGNA HealthCare named SCOTT EVELYN president and general manager for Georgia and Alabama. Prior to joining the Bloomfield, Conn.-based company, Evelyn co-founded the Benefit Management Group in South Florida in 1997 and served as CEO until it was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher in 2006.

MediCall, a specialized healthcare services provider based in Pleasanton, Calif., named MARCIA ALEXANDER and BRYAN CRAWLEY vice presidents responsible for strengthening the company's presence in the workers' compensation market. Alexander will drive MediCall's clinical program effort, while Crawley will spearhead medical-bill review and other specialized workers' comp program initiatives. Alexander is an RN and certified case manager who most recently was vice president, clinical operations manager, with Sedgwick CMS. Crawley joined MediCall from TechHealth, where he served as vice president of market and business development, focusing on specialized Ancillary Medical Network programs.

The Leapfrog Group, the Washington-based quality improvement and patient safety advocate that works to leverage healthcare buyers' purchasing power, announced LEAH BINDER will become CEO effective March 10. Binder currently serves as vice president of Franklin Community Health Network of Farmington, Maine. She oversees system operations in marketing, planning and public-health outreach.
