As part of a cooperative agreement between Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge UK LLP and Marshall Diel & Myers in Bermuda, Katie Tornari of EAPD's insurance and reinsurance department moved to Bermuda to practice law with MDM. The agreement will mean enhanced legal resources available to insurers and reinsurers doing business in Bermuda, providing the clients with seamless legal services in multiple jurisdictions, including Bermuda, the United States, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Tornari has more than eight years of experience in insurance and reinsurance litigation and arbitration work, including the representation of Bermuda insurers in London coverage arbitrations. She will be tasked with developing MDM's insurance and reinsurance practice.

Dickstein Shapiro, a multiservice law firm with more than 400 attorneys in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., hired Stephen Goldberg as partner in the Insurance Coverage Practice. Based in the firm's Los Angeles office, Goldberg will focus his practice on litigating and resolving a wide range of insurance recovery matters, including product liability, asbestos, environmental damage, property damage, business-interruption losses, and directors' and officers' liability. Goldberg previously was a shareholder and member of the Insurance Recovery and Complex Commercial Litigation practice groups at Heller Ehrman LLP.

Lockton Cos. hired Alaina Walls, a licensed attorney with the New Jersey State Bar, as vice president and account executive. Walls will be responsible for evaluating the errors-and-omissions insurance needs of client law firms. She will help firms interpret policy language and negotiate with insurance carriers on the firms' behalf at renewal. Prior to joining Lockton, she was with Marsh's New York-based National Law Firm Practice.
