Series of Tests to Challenge Success

The latest report on the Bermuda Market came out of Fitch Ratings this March. The authors give the premier insurance domicile props for its regulatory and tax environment, which has provided a home for investment capital to accumulate on the island, as well as the underwriters, risk managers, brokers and entrepreneurs who feed off and grow that capital. Most recently in the past two years, according to the report, Bermuda has enjoyed "tremendous operating success." Yet going forward, the authors suggest that Hamilton could face serious tests.
