MARK STOKES was named managing director of the San Francisco office of Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. Stokes will maintain his current responsibilities as managing director of the offices in Petaluma and Santa Rosa, Calif. Now he will also help producers at the San Francisco office negotiate the best terms and rates for their existing customers and attract new business. Stokes started his insurance career as an underwriter with Fireman's Fund, and has since worked for Transamerica Insurance Group.

Wells Fargo also promoted four of its staff in its Cincinnati office. BOB HELLMAN was named senior vice president, and will continue his role as marketing manager at both the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, offices. JOHN JAGODZINSKI was also promoted to senior vice president and will now lead the agency's acquisition strategy, as well as continue his past duties as head of office business development.

CAROL JOHNSTON was named vice president of the Cincinnati office, along with her current management role in office management and agency support. WENDE SANDMANN was elevated to assistant vice president. Sandmann leads sales efforts for the office's Wells Fargo Pharmacy Solutions unit.

The country's fifth largest insurance brokerage firm (and largest bank-owned broker) also announced that its national co-practice leader for its Life Science Practice Group and senior vice president, PETER DALY, was named to the board of directors for BayBio, an independent trade association for the Northern California life science industry.

DeWitt Stern Group announced the establishment of a new office in San Francisco to be led by MARILYN QUINLAN. Quinlan is vice president and manager of the commercial division out of the new office, as well as manager of the firm's commercial risk management division. She joined DSG in January 2008 upon leaving Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. after 11 years. EILEEN EUBANK will join Quinlan in the new office, managing DSG's Private Client Services Division and overseeing fine art and wineries programs.

SUZANNE PAGONIS joined the Cranford, N.J., location of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs. The vice president is responsible for new business development and relationship management for the High Net Worth Personal Insurance Division. Pagonis comes with 20 years experience in the industry, most recently as vice president at HUB/PLI Brokerage in Warren, N.J.
