VINCENT TIZZIO was appointed president of the new, as-yet unnamed business unit of Zurich North America Commercial that will focus on solutions for commercial customers who find themselves somewhere in between the traditional categories of small business and middle markets. Tizzio comes from American International Group Inc., where he had been president of AIG Small Business. He will be based in New York City and will report to Mike Foley, CEO of Zurich North America Commercial.
STEPHANIE BUSH
was promoted to senior vice president of middle markets by the Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. and will be responsible for managing all Hartford commercial lines businesses that provide insurance products and services to middle-market clients, defined in terms of annual revenues in excess of $15 million. Bush has been with The Hartford since 1988, when she started her career as a marketing representative in the Chicago regional office. She most recently was senior vice president of Applied Research and Product Development.
The Hartford announced that SCOTT SHAPIRO
will be replacing Bush in that role. Shapiro had been regional vice president of the insurer's Baltimore office. He started his career at The Hartford in 1990 in its actuarial department.
The diversified financial service company also announced that SCOTT HEWITT will become the regional vice president of its Baltimore regional office. He will be responsible for agency relationships and sales and growth for all P/C lines. Hewitt comes from Selective Insurance out of Branchville, N.J., where he was senior vice president of commercial lines.
Hiscox USA named LISA ZANOTELLI and DEREK ROGERS as two new Kidnap & Ransom insurance experts who will offer the coverage to U.S. customers. They will also serve as liaisons with Control Risks, an exclusive Hiscox partner that specializes in risk consultancy and response services.
