GEORGE A. STEADMAN III was named the 2008 chairman of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. Steadman is the president and chief operating officer of Rutherfoord, a U.S. commercial insurance broker where he's worked since 1986. He is also a member of the board of managers for Assurex Global Re. Steadman replaces Thomas J. Rodell, senior vice president and regional managing director of Aon Risk Services, as CIAB chairman.
Hub International, based in Chicago, named TOM HARTLEY as president of Hub International Arizona. He will be responsible for leading a team of employee benefits, commercial insurance and personal lines professionals. He comes to Hub Arizona with 31 years of experience. Hartley is succeeding Richard Milne, who has become chairman of Hub Arizona.
HOLLY SHOPOFF was named vice president of the Motorsports Race Team Programs for Wells Fargo Insurance Services. Based in Houston, Shopoff will be responsible for providing insurance products and services to race teams, their sponsors and racing events across the nation. Shopoff has more two decades' worth of P/C experience.
ROB LIVINGSTON is the new senior vice president and producer for all property/casualty lines in the Chicago office of Lockton Cos. He will work with middle- and large-market clients. With 16 years of risk management experience, Livingston last worked at Aon Risk Services as a senior vice president.
Meeker Sharkey Associates, a property/casualty and employee benefits brokerage firm, announced the return of TOM SHARKEY JR.
as president. He comes on board after the Sharkey family re-launched the brokerage in 2007. Sharkey had previously been president and CEO of the firm, from 1998 until it was sold to Summit Bancorp. in 2000. By 2006, he had returned to the family business as a consultant until post-employment contractual restrictions with his former employer ran out.
DAVID HOKANSON was named president and CEO of WBN Ltd., the largest privately owned international insurance brokerage network. WBN will continue its operations in its London office, where it oversees a network of 62 member companies in 56 countries.
