BRIAN BIRMINGHAM
was hired by AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. as its vice president and chief marketing officer for Corporate Markets, which is its business unit that provides retirement plan strategies to Fortune 1000 companies and their employees. Birmingham will focus on developing and marketing solutions that help companies and their workers invest and distribute retirement plan assets. He has been in the institutional retirement business for about 25 years.
DAVID E. ARTHUR joined Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Co. at its Cranford, N.J., location to work as the worksite benefits regional practice leader. He will be responsible for the firm's marketing efforts in the Metro Northeast region. Arthur comes to HRH by way of a regional benefits broker where he devoted nine years to assisting companies with their voluntary benefits programs.
JIM SHADDY was named director of the North America retirement consulting service for Watson Wyatt Worldwide. Shaddy has been with the consultancy for the last 11 years working out of the Minneapolis office, previously as director of the Central Division retirement practice for the last six years.
