Effective July 2, 2008, MARK LYONS will be chairman and CEO of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group. Lyons will be replacing the retiring Ralph Jones, whose five-year employment term will be expiring. Lyons, 51, currently serves as president and chief operating officer of Arch Insurance Group, positions he's held since 2006. He has been with Arch since 2002, before which he served with Zurich and Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group.

STEVEN J. BENSINGER was named vice chairman, financial services, with American International Group Inc., effective immediately. He is responsible for AIG's Financial Services businesses, which span capital markets, insurance premium finance, and aircraft and equipment leasing. Bensinger will continue as chief financial officer until a replacement is found.

BRYAN SALVATORE will head the Accident & Health Group at Zurich, leading a national team that handles the total Accident & Health product portfolio, including occupational accident, medical stop loss, business travel accident, and accident death and dismemberment. Salvatore has been with Zurich since 1997.

Zurich also announced that DANIEL W. RIORDAN is now president of the Surety, Credit and Political Risk Group with Zurich North America Commercial. The group was recently formed by combining the old surety division with the emerging market division. Riordan has been with Zurich working on political risk and trade credit since 1997. The announcement came along with the news that William E. Cheatham, current president of surety, is retiring on Sept. 30, 2008.
