PETE MCPARTLAND was appointed president and CEO of Golden Eagle Insurance. McPartland succeeds Frank Kotarba, who retired after eight years with the company. McPartland came to Golden Eagle from General Casualty, where he was chief operating officer for QBE Regional Insurance. Golden Eagle, a Liberty Mutual company, is based in San Diego and offers commercial P/C products in the Golden State.

DARIN L. KATH was named president-designate of Integrity Mutual Insurance Co., effective May 28. He will be filling the shoes of Richard J. Schinler, current president and CEO, who is retiring on Dec. 31, 2008, after a quarter-century with the company. Kath brings to bear two decades of experience, last with Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co. as president and CEO. Integrity, a member of the Grange Mutual Casualty Group, is a regional P/C carrier in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Grange, based out of Columbus, Ohio, also announced that J. PAUL MCCAFFREY JR. was promoted to vice president and chief risk officer. The CRO is a new position at the $1 billion insurance carrier operating in 13 states. McCaffrey joined Grange in 2006 as vice president of finance and previously worked as a senior manager with Ernst & Young.

Another Liberty Mutual company, Ohio Casualty, announced that JANET BUCHANAN will head up a staff of 11 at its newest branch office in Glen Allen, Va. The new office will provide access to surety, excess casualty, fidelity and umbrella products from Liberty Agency Underwriters to more than 100 agencies in the region.
