2008 Teddy Award Winners

In the for-profit category, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based recruiting and staffing service Spherion won along with--in a tie--the Washington, D.C.-based hospitality giant Marriott International. In the nonprofit category, the 2008 Teddy winner was the Los Angeles Unified School District. In the federal category, the U.S. Treasury Department earned the honors. This year, a certificate of merit also was extended in the for-profit category to Klamath Falls, Ore-based window and door manufacturer JELD-WEN for its outstanding safety program. And to the world-famous healthcare organization the Mayo Clinic in the nonprofit category.
